April 11th marked the 4th annual Bonner Peak Bushwhack. This is an annual trail-run hosted by Doug and Arlene (faithful patrons of my morning class). 2010 marked my second year for this race, and I must admit that Doug was successful in making this years course extremely difficult. The trail consisted of two separate loops one of 5.5 miles and one of 10 miles. You name it we did it ran hills, and ran more hills even to the point of running through rock caves and bouldering! About the time you thought it couldn't get any crazier it did.
I was extremely proud that two of the ladies who are participants in the Tuesday & Thursday morning class at OTAC also took part. A big Congrats goes out to Cori and Heidi who successfully completed their first BPB!

One of the coolest things about this race is that Doug and Arlene take donations and 100% of the proceeds go to the Larimer County Food Bank, and I know this year they blessed the less fortunate with over $1000 donation to the Larimer Food Bank! Awesome to see such generosity from a small group.
Look forward to BPB 2011 and I know Doug will do his best to make it as difficult if not more than BPB 2010! Until then Happy Trails and keep on running!
